Sept. 28 – Rev. Pat Jobe: ‘Look For the Beauty’
You may have heard this from Rev. Pat before, since he uses it as a means to augment deep breathing and stress relief. As we look for beauty, we can find a connection to life beyond our own anxiety, fear, anger and dismay. As Thomas Payne wrote so well, these are times that try our souls.
Spiritual Education: Doug and Pat Wall will lead the kids’ class this Sunday. Their lesson will be based on the book Everybody Needs a Rock by Byrd Baylor, an award-winning author from the Southwest who wrote books connecting the land to Native Americans. Following her rules, we’ll go outside to find our pet rock, then make a home for it.
