Pat was startled to read that even Abraham Lincoln was dogged by a fear of not measuring up, not being enough. What about the rest of us? When are we ever enough? How do we measure it?The Rev. Pat Jobe joined our Fellowship on Aug. 1, 2020. He is married to his lovely spouse Gabe and is an enthusiastic supporter of UU Lake Norman, FeedNC, Heart of the Carolinas UU Animal Ministry, the Barefoot Ministry, and all work done by UUs in our area. Services can be viewed live at 3:10 p.m., and later for replays, by visiting our website. Information on upcoming services can also be found on our Facebook page. April 19 – Rev. Pat Jobe: ‘The Shadows are Getting Longer’ As much as we would like to stay cheerful, the shadows are getting longer. The darkness is sad and threatens our sanity. We can stabilize by remembering those who have loved us and encouraged us over the years. ![]() Spring Cleaning: Getting Your House in Order This month we are continuing to introduce the Foundation Society, which recognizes those members and friends who have included UU Lake Norman in their estate plans. Part of estate planning is getting our financial and legal houses in good order, so we will take a quick look at the steps needed to do that. The great thing is that it’s not that hard to do and it feels so good to have accomplished it. If you have already included UU Lake Norman in your will or would like to talk with someone about possibly doing so, please let us know. Email us at this link or talk with a member of the Board. ![]() Heart of Carolinas UU Animal Ministry will resume building fences in mid- May.
