Aug. 31 – Michael Howard: ‘My Autistic Journey’
The speaker relates his story as a person diagnosed as autistic at the age of 50, noting the lack of representation and resources for people like himself. He elaborates upon mostly unacknowledged challenges facing autistic people in general and indicates how they may be better understood and supported.
We will Share the Plate on Aug. 24 with the Carolina Migrant Network. This is a Charlotte-based legal team that provides pro-bono legal services to many facing deportation and those seeking legal means to remain in the United States. Among their clients is Julio Zambrano Perez, whose family we have been helping along with St. Alban’s Episcopal, Storyhill Church, Temple Kol Tikvah and many private individuals.
