Nov. 23 – Rev. Pat Jobe: ‘Henri Nouwen and Reclaiming Childhood Hospitality’
In preparing for the Day of The Dead service on Nov. 2, I found Henri Nouwen’s words about reclaiming what was left behind as childhood had to adjust to the adult world. Among the lost treasures Nouwen recommends is childhood hospitality. Really? Now, there’s something to think about, ponder, maybe even set as a goal for the days ahead.
This month’s “Share the Plate” will be to benefit Heart of the Carolina’s UU Animal Ministry. These are the good folk who build dog fences for pups who need to get off their chains.
