Does it help to listen for inner guidance? \n\n\n\nSpiritual Education: Our spiritual educators for the kids this Sunday will be Claudia and Alan Perkinson. They do a great job and have been particularly inspiring in stressing the value of the chalice lighting and leading the kids in Joys and Sorrows. Powerful stuff.

He elaborates upon mostly unacknowledged challenges facing autistic people in general and indicates how they may be better understood and supported. \n\n\n\nWe will Share the Plate on Aug. 24 with the Carolina Migrant Network. This is a Charlotte-based legal team that provides pro-bono legal services to many facing deportation and those seeking legal means to remain in the United States. Among their clients is Julio Zambrano Perez\, whose family we have been helping along with St. Alban’s Episcopal\, Storyhill Church\, Temple Kol Tikvah and many private individuals.

DESCRIPTION:Aug. 24 – Rev. Pat Jobe: ‘How Do We Support Each other?’  \n\n\n\nReverend Pat will look at the delicate work of supporting vulnerability. Brené Brown has made a cottage industry of promoting vulnerability. Her TED talks are so popular she can hardly walk through her local grocery store without having someone say\, “Hey\, you’re that vulnerability lady.” Is it something we can do for each other? \n\n\n\nAlan Perkinson and Jim Price will lead the children’s Spiritual Education program this Sunday. We will look at carpentry\, talk generally about how houses are built\, look at some tools and use them. It will be hands-on and was popular with the boys and girls the last time we did this. \n\n\n\nVisit us in person or watch online!
